Obama on Islamic State: Pretend Islam Is Not Islam
Ari Armstrong September 11, 2014
Obama’s strategy is a combination of half-hearted attacks on Islamic State and dangerous coalitions with Islamic tyrants and militants, many of whom wish to see America destroyed. What explains the ineptness of Obama’s foreign policy with respect to Islamic terrorism? One of the most important problems is Obama’s refusal to recognize the nature of America’s enemies.

The Jihad Against America and How to End It
Craig Biddle September 10, 2014
While Islamic State, al Qaeda, and the like multiply and expand throughout the Middle East, now is a good time to recount the essential nature of the problem and to specify the solution. Although these groups have murdered many Americans and aim to murder many more, they are not the fundamental problem. Glenn Reynolds and the “Problem” of Income Inequality
Ari Armstrong September 9, 2014
The real problem is that the market is not fully free, and government routinely violates rather than protects rights in myriad ways. Endangered Species Act Sacrifices People to Frogs
Ari Armstrong September 6, 2014
The Endangered Species Act empowers the federal government to effectively nationalize private property without even compensating the owners of the property. Paul Krugman: Master of the Straw-Man Fallacy
Ari Armstrong August 29, 2014
Krugman looks to problems that can arise in a free market and largely ignores the solutions to such problems made possible by free markets—not to mention all of the life-serving goods and services provided by private businesses when they are free to produce and trade in accordance with their judgment.

“Gifts from Heaven”: A Vital Historic Lesson for America
Craig Biddle August 11, 2014
John David Lewis’s article “‘Gifts from Heaven’: The Meaning of the American Victory over Japan, 1945” has profound implications regarding both the principles of a proper U.S. foreign policy and the clear and present threats to America today. Americans must learn its lessons if we are to defend ourselves against the Islamic barbarians who seek to kill us.

Government Properly Protects Freedom of Religion and Freedom from Religion
Ari Armstrong August 6, 2014
Theocrat Rick Santorum is the CEO of the Christian film production company EchoLight, as the Heritage Institute reports. Unsurprisingly, judging from its trailer, one of the company’s forthcoming films, “One Generation Away: The Erosion of Religious Liberty,” substantially distorts the meaning and significance of the First Amendment’s language about religion.

Hamas and The Left’s Pretense about the Deaths of Innocents in Gaza
Craig Biddle August 3, 2014
Who is morally responsible for the deaths of innocents in Gaza, such as Gazan children, who are killed by Israeli bombs? Hamas is. And this fact is clear to anyone who chooses to think beyond the frame of a television.
